The plating is a thin layer blackish chrome color that will fade over time. In an effort to reduce the wearing, please refrain from heavy wear/scratching and washing of the hands as this will quickly remove the finish. Black rhodium plating can be re-applied for a like new look, similar to the platinum rhodium plating process.
